Summary: SB 753 allows any state agency or department to conduct an investigation of a contractor’s hiring policies if the employment of unauthorized immigrants is suspected. The district attorney can issue an order to fire undocumented workers, and the contractor is subject to penalties of up to $10,000. This applies only to contractor’s employing more than 10 people.
