Nationwide Wants and Warrants search utilizes the National Crime
Information Center (NCIC) to search for active, extraditable Wants
and Warrants issued at the Nationwide level. County Wants and Warrants
that have been outstanding for quite some time may be elevated to
the Nationwide level. In addition, County Wants and Warrants for
serious offenses may also be elevated to the Nationwide level. Please
note, active County Wants and Warrants may or may not show up in
the Nationwide Wants and Warrants search. Therefore, if you know
which County a person may have an active warrant, it is best to
search using a County Wants and Warrants search.
