Case Study: Workers Comp Records

Janine was shocked to see that her newest employee, Thomas, had injured his back on his third day of employment. He called after going to the doctor to tell Janine that he would be out of work for at least a month and that he was filing a workers compensation claim. The following week, Janine was at a Human Resources conference and attended a seminar about fraudulent and abusive workers compensation claims. It made her think about the nature of Thomas' injury and she began to wonder if he had ever filed a claim before.
